Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What am I in for during your free consultation?

A:  We have a very long term approach to this business which focuses on customer satisfaction. We know that providing the best possible products and services and treating clients as we would want to be treated, results in a high level of satisfaction. Therefore, when you come in for a consultation you will find that we take as much time as required with each client and there is absolutely no sales pressure. Consultations are done in a private room, where we show you our hair system and discuss all the details associated with the solutions applicable to you. We have yet to meet a client who has not fallen in love with our system.

Q:  How long would it be to get a Hair System, once I decide to go for the solution?

A: At our studio we undertake only those procedures which guarantee 100% satisfaction to our clients. Therefore, the hair replacement system we provide to our clients are customized exactly to the specifications of each of our clients. This makes it necessary that we start the production process only after noting the specifications of the client needs. Making of a quality hair unit involves a lot of processes and they are time consuming. We deal with only the best quality hair units. Such units take 8 to 10 weeks to be made as they are not made by machines in a factory. Each hair system is made by hand to match the rest of your hair. After this there are finishing processes which take another one week. We do not wish to compromise on quality for the sake of quick delivery. Our experience has shown that a delivery time of twelve weeks is needed to make a system with hair that we provide to our clients. We produce the lightest hair replacement systems in the world. Anyone would believe that your hair is growing right out of your scalp. With your system, you can style your hair anyway that allow you to comb your hair back and away from your face exposing your entire hairline

Q:  What is the ideal number of Hair Systems that a person should own?

A: Two systems ensure that you will always have one to wear while the other is kept as a standby. It will be required if one is sent for color treatment or if there is an accidental damage to the system. It also helps to use the other system when you are in a hurry and have no time to wait and clean the system. But we still make single systems available for those who do not want two systems.

Q:  Can I do my own attachments?

A:  Yes, you can do your own attachments. Having two hair systems will make it easier to clean and fix the system at your own pace. Get a mirror fixed at an angle on the wall behind you so that you can easily see your scalp and fix the system.

Q:  How long will my hair system last?

A:  If you purchase two hair systems they will last for at least one year. If other companies tell you that their systems last 5 to 7 years it is not possible as ultra custom lace hair systems are so natural that we do not fill hair densely. If you still wish to have very thick hair then the pair of systems will last a minimum of 18 months.

Q:  What kind of hair do you use?

A:  We use 100% European virgin hair. ‘Virgin’ refers to hair that has not been chemically treated at all prior to it being incorporated in the system. As a result the hair is less likely to tangle. Our systems are totally undetectable to sight and touch.

Q:  Will the hair system look natural and blend with my hair?

A:  We have designed a series of ultra high-end hair replacements for both men and women.  The basic concept is simple. We have found a way to blend the magic of Hollywood artistry into the real world of everyday Hair Replacement. The results look completely natural viewed from any angle and in any kind of light. We have combined the finest Hollywood lace, imported virgin European hair that will blend with your own natural hair. For example if you have a slight wave or curls in your hair then we will make a system that matches your hair. The result will be a fine art of hair replacement.

Q:  How will the products affect my skin health?

Our clients need not have any apprehension about their skin health due to our hair replacement systems. All the items we use are dermatological tested and approved by the FDA in the US. As this a purely cosmetic process, there is no consumption or application of any medicine or any lotion.

Q: Do I have to make any change in my daily routine?

A: Not in any noticeable way. One thing we have to practice is to avoid being very conscious of your hair. This means, once we do our hair, usually in the morning before the start of our day, we should consciously avoid giving attention to our hair till the end of our day.

We do have to take care of our new hair as we do with our natural hair. Only extra care we need to do is to avoid being rough with it. We wash or shower our new hair normally but softly, dry it by pressing gently with a soft towel – not rubbing it hard, comb it slowly and softly in our choice of style while the hair is damp, make use of the recommended hair cosmetics the way it is advised. All such things we would do even with our natural hair on a daily basis.

Q:  How often will my hair color need refreshing?

A:  The hair is 100 % European and is colored by the company to match your hair. Dark hair rarely fades if you are shampooing your hair only with a recommended hair colour shampoo.  If you holiday near the sea or the mountains the color may fade and you can bring it to us to refresh the color. We keep a record of every client.

Q:  Will my hair break or fall?

A:  The longer the hair in length the hair will fall or weaken faster. Our hair is 100% natural and will behave just as your natural hair does. We will teach you the correct techniques to look after your hair. Conditioners and serums help the hair to retain moisture for a longer period.

Q:  Can I swim with my hair system?

A:  You can swim with your system on but it would be advisable to wear a swimming cap as you need to take precaution to prevent hair from drying out. The salt in the ocean water and chlorine in the pool can really wreak havoc on a hair system if you do not care for it properly. Avoiding damage is really easy. Your hair won’t absorb as much of the salt and chemicals if you wet the hair prior to getting in the pool or ocean water and apply some leave-in conditioner. Rinse your hair out as soon as possible once you are done swimming and you are good to go!

Q: Is it necessary to shave my head in order to wear a hair system?

A:  When the hair sits on a shaved surface the front hairline looks absolutely undetectable. No one will believe that the hair that is growing right out of the scalp is actually coming out of your hair system. When the scalp beneath the system is shaved the system sits perfectly, is so comfortable that you don’t feel the system on your head and it attaches itself to the scalp for a longer period.

Q:  How do I prevent Oxidation?

A:  On days when you will be outdoors and the sun is shining brightly, you will need to use products with UV protection. Just as you use a sunscreen for your face you would want a little extra protection against the sun. You could also use a cap or a light scarf.

Q:  I have heard that most system users complain of an odour after a few days.

A:  It is the result of your bond reacting to excessive sweat and your oil that your body is producing.  Our systems are made of a very airy, well ventilated lace. During the hot summer months it would be a good idea to clean your system every week to ten days to prevent odour.

Q: I am afraid to go on a trip with my system. What should I do?

A: If you have all the supplies with you will have nothing to worry about. Enjoy your vacation without a thought other than fun and frolic.

Q:  Can you explain the differences between various hair types used in the Industry?

A:  There are three basic hair types used in the industry:

  1. Synthetic
  2. Human Hair
  3. European Hair

a) Synthetic hair is man made and is essentially plastic. It is not a popular choice for a complete hair system due to the finished look, feel and lack of natural movement. It is however used quite often for gray hair blends. Up to ~40% of the hair can be synthetic without compromising the look, feel and texture. This allows the hair piece to be colored if necessary without affecting the grey, since synthetic will not accept color.

b) Human hair is a term used loosely in the industry and generally refers to hair which is from Asia and has been chemically stripped of the cuticle (cuticle is the exterior armor plating of the hair). The hair is then treated with a silicone type of coating. In the beginning this hair is nice and silky soft, but as the coating wears off (8-10 washings), the hair loses its luster and silkiness. Because the cuticle is missing, the hair is greatly affected by the elements (chlorine, minerals in water, oxygen and sun light). These environmental factors make the hair’s color fade and it begins taking on a reddish tone. Systems that are available for less than 30,000 are made from Asian hair that is generally from India.

c) European hair is hair that comes from Russia and neighbouring countries and has its natural cuticle intact. As mentioned above, the cuticle is the exterior armor plating of the hair. Cuticle ensures that the hair is strong, has shine, manageability, and colour retention. This type of hair retains its natural movement and will flow like your own hair (especially important for those windy days). This is the best hair available and significantly contributes to an undetectable look. Our systems use only European hair.

Q:  What is Male Pattern Baldness?

A:  It is an inherited condition in men, triggered by the hormone Dihydrotestosterone which causes gradual miniaturization (and eventual loss) of hair on the crown of the head.

Treated with hair replacement system designed to cover the area of thinning. Once the thinning has started replacing hair with surgery would be of no use as there would eventually be further thinning of your original natural hair.

Q: What is Androgenetic Alopecia?

A:  It is the most common cause of hair loss in women. Can occur in early twenties, but usually more common in late thirties and forties. Hair loss is gradual, with miniaturization of the hair follicles and predominately affects the crown area.

Early stages can be camouflaged with hair extensions. Although this does not address the problem area, it provides greater hair volume and requires minimal maintenance.
Q:  What are the advantages of non-surgical hair replacement vs hair replacement surgery?

A:   In recent years, many people who are suffering from hair loss have turned to non-surgical hair replacement rather than hair transplant surgery. Hair replacement systems aren’t the wigs from days gone by. They are handcrafted to match your hair color and density, as well as your hair loss pattern undetectable, natural-looking results.

The main advantage of a non-surgical hair replacement is just that — it’s non-surgical. The complications of surgery are many, from the dangers of anesthesia to the risk of infection to the possibility of scarring. Many patients experience significant pain and discomfort after the procedure.

With a hair system, the risks are few. The procedure consists of shaving an area of your head and bonding a fine mesh to the scalp. The mesh features hairs match in color and density to your natural hair. Other than very rare allergic reaction to the adhesive, you are not at risk for any medical problems with a non-surgical hair replacement system.

Hair replacement systems guarantee results

With hair transplant surgery, it may take six months or longer to see the results you desire in terms of hair density as long as the area for transplant is small. In some cases of extensive hair loss, surgery may not be possible at all and even if it is, it may never be able to achieve the desired results. The hair that eventually grows is sparse. With hair replacement systems, however, every person has the opportunity to have a full head of hair again.

Non-surgical hair systems offer guaranteed results. A hair replacement system will work for anyone regardless of the reasons behind their hair loss or the extent of their hair loss.

Non-surgical hair replacement is reversible

If you decide that you are no longer interested in wearing your hair replacement system for whatever reason, you can simple have it removed — it’s not permanent.

Hair replacement systems are not reliant on donor hair

Even with the best hair transplant surgeon and the most advanced grafting techniques, only so much can be done. Your existing hair from the back of the head and sides — the donor areas — must be abundant and in healthy condition. If you have a limited amount of healthy donor hair follicles remaining, then hair transplant surgery isn’t the right option of you. Also, grafts can be placed only so closely together; therefore, you might not achieve the hair density or look that you’d like. When they remove your hair from the back and sides you will be end up making this sections of your hair sparse. With a hair system, you aren’t depending on the donor areas, so the possibilities are endless.

Hair replacement systems have no limits

Non-surgical hair replacement can work for anyone — men, women or children. It’s an option for those patients who have been severely scarred from hair transplants or burns. Hair replacement is suitable whether you are experiencing hair loss from heredity factors, a medical condition, chemotherapy or another reason. And probably best of all, hair systems have no limits. You can literally get any hair color, style, density, length or texture that you want. With hair transplant surgery, you are limited to what’s available in donor areas. A lot of my clients wear my systems and tell their friends that they have done hair transplants.
